Island Party Boat brings a touch of the tropics straight to Chicago. Its fleet of 10 Polynesian-themed boats accommodates anywhere from six to 90 guests, who head out on Lake Michigan or the Chicago River for hours of tropical fun. All of the tiki party boats are equipped with waterslides, and customers can expect other party-ready touches like bars, LED TVs, and premium sound systems.

The Carefree concept is simple – we offer you the opportunity to fully epserience the joys of boating without the ancillary costs or hassles of ownership. You join the club and pay dues and boat as often as you like. Members are paying approximately $5000 per year for unlimited use of the entire fleet, depending on the length of the membership, 1-5 years.

Each season, hundreds of students learn and improve upon their sailing skills while enrolled in one of the many course options offered by Columbia Sailing School. Are reservations required?

Yes, reservations are required and your water sport activity can be selected by clicking any of the red rental buttons throughout the site.

What do I need to know about the jet ski check-in process?

This pertains to jet ski customers only … renters are required to arrive one hour (60 minutes) prior to departure time.

You’ll need to bring the credit card you used to make your reservation and your government issued ID. The names on both must match.

Late arrivals (not arriving 60 minutes prior to departure) are subject to reservation being cancelled without a refund.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all rental activities. However, if we need to cancel due to weather or lake conditions, we will alert you as soon as possible. At that point, we will discuss options.

Where are you located?

We are located at 31st Street Harbor. Our exact location is at the south end of the harbor opposite of the beach. Dock J next to the boat launch, floating swimming pool, and Salerno’s restaurant. Use Google Maps and search: 31st Street Harbor, Dock J or Chicago Water Sport Rentals. Do not search using a street address.

Where should I park?

The best place to park is in the west lot located on the SW corner of 31st street and Lake Shore Drive.
